Just to make sure the year ended with a bang, destined to be sealed for all time as 'The Worst Year Ever,' I went ahead and had another bike crash and smashed up my right middle finger so badly I had another surgery, another ti plate implanted, and another few months of rehab. Nice. I've spent more time in hospitals and with doctors this year than in the rest of my life combined.

I'm about ready to be done.

So, for 04, no injuries. That's it, all I want.

And without injuries I'll be able to save up some vacation time and get somewhere out of this country in the fall.

Hope springs eternal...

Nothing new happening just now. After a long summer of rehab from a horrendous crash in the first mountain bike race of the season, I'm riding again, putting money aside, and planning trips. New Zealand in fall of 06 for the Mountain Bike World Championships is a sure thing. Next fall, a month somewhere, most likely in Asia. Money's being saved--we just need to decide where to go.

Mostly, I just wanted to keep this blog active, since it's been quite a while.
